The Expresso perfectly represents the difference between American and French cultures. American’s emphasizing quantity over quality. An expresso is to be properly savored. If you don’t pay attention and be present in the moment then it is gone. You are forced to focus to be present. In American the word mug is proudly used like a badge of honor. I drank a mug of coffee a cup of joe; there’s nothing special about it. It only conjures up everyday plain activities.
